Burnout & Exhaustion

For when you feel: burned out, running on empty, so tired, can't keep going

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Matthew 11:28–30 · BSB

The MinuteSermon

You wake up tired, which is a strange way to begin a day that asks for more. The list grew overnight and the tank did not. Into that exact exhaustion Jesus speaks: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." He is speaking to the depleted, and what He offers sounds strange at first, a yoke. But a yoke is built for two, and His, He says, is "easy," a word that means well-fitted. Some of your load is truly yours; much of it is worry, performance, and other people's expectations stacked at a pace He never assigned. So come to Him before the list. Rest is not the reward for finishing everything. It is the gift He hands you at the door.

A prayer for this moment

Jesus, I'm heavy laden and I've been pulling alone. I take Your yoke instead of mine. Teach me Your pace, and give my soul the rest You promised. Amen.
