For when you feel: no direction, what's the point, wasting my life, stuck
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.

Another day that looks like the last one, and you catch yourself wondering if any of it is going anywhere. Jeremiah 29:11 was written to exiles facing seventy years in Babylon, which makes it better news, not worse. God's plans survive long seasons that look like nothing is happening. And Ephesians adds a tender detail: you are His "workmanship," a word cousin to our word poem, with good works "before ordained," already laid along your path like stones. Purpose in Scripture rarely arrives as a lightning bolt. Most days it looks like the next prepared good work, walked in, and stuck seasons are often preparation wearing a disguise. So instead of hunting the grand plan today, walk in the nearest good work. The poem is still being written, and the Author does not abandon drafts.

A prayer for this moment
Lord, when I can't see the plan, help me trust the Planner. Show me the next good work You've prepared, and I'll walk in that. Amen.
