Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

The drive home is quiet, and you are already replaying the argument, editing your lines. Scripture is strikingly honest about family. "If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men." God does not promise that every relationship resolves. He simply marks out your assignment, the part that lies in you. You cannot make them change, and you cannot rewrite their memory of what happened. What does lie in you is your tone, your forgiveness, your refusal to keep score, all measured against "even as Christ forgave you," and He forgave first, while we were still wrong. Boundaries are allowed; even Jesus withdrew from hostile crowds. But keep your side of the street clean, keep the door open, and let your prayers go where your words cannot.
