The bag is packed, the instructions say nothing after midnight, and your mind wants to run every scenario twice. Isaiah wrote to people bracing for what they could not control, and he locates peace in a strange place. Not in mastering the outcomes, but in a mind that is stayed on God, leaned into Him the way weight leans on a wall. Tonight you can know this much: you will sleep, and you will wake, inside the care of a Father who does not sleep at all. The surgeon's skill is His common grace, so pray for those hands by name. Not one moment of tomorrow happens outside His attention. "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee." Lean there, and rest.

Father, tomorrow I'm not in control, but I never really was, and You always were. Guide every hand in that room, and keep me in perfect peace tonight. Amen.
