Fear of the Future
For when you feel: what if, uncertainty, afraid of what's coming, dread
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

You lie awake walking through tomorrow before it arrives, testing each what if to see which one breaks. Fear of the future is really fear of facing it alone, which is why God answers it with a presence instead of a schedule. Listen to the promises stack up in one verse: "I am with thee... I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee." Notice how the verbs lean forward into will. God is already standing in your tomorrow, and He reports back one thing about it, that He is there. You cannot know the future, but you can know the One who holds it, and He has never once met a tomorrow that surprised Him.
