The MinuteSermon

Your heart is pounding, the list is too long, and the walls of this moment feel close. Psalm 46 was written for exactly this kind of shaking, for mountains falling into the sea and waters that roar. Its answer is not try harder. Its answer is an address. God is a refuge, a shelter you run into, and He is "a very present help," not a distant one. So do the smallest faithful thing you can do. Be still for ten seconds. Breathe in the words "Be still," and breathe out the words "and know." No one is asking you to fix everything in this minute. You are only being asked to step inside a shelter that cannot fall.
